When you buy Swanson Kelp (Iodine Source), you get 250 tablets of natural iodine. One tablet contains a 2-day dosage of 56 mg from Atlantic kelp (Ascophyllum nodosum) standardized to 0.4% iodine .

What is so special about kelp?

Kelp belongs to the brown algae family. Kelp is full of elements such as calcium, sulphur and zinc. However, the naturally high iodine content in the algae is particularly interesting[1].

This is because iodine is a trace element and is primarily known for its supportive effect in the production of thyroid hormones and normal thyroid function. Iodine is also important for the skin, cognitive function and the normal functioning of the nervous system[2].

Ingredients: Atlantic kelp (Ascophyllum nodosum; standardized to 0.4% iodine), anti-caking agent: calcium salts of orthophosphoric acid; calcium carbonate, bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose (vegetable); anti-caking agents: stearic acid, silicon dioxide, magnesium salts of fatty acids; thickener: gum arabic; maltodextrin

APPLICATION

Take one (1) tablet every two (2) days with plenty of water. Or after consultation with your doctor/healthcare practitioner.
